It was December 1st and time to start celebrating the holiday season. Its become a bit of a tradition with me to do the Provo
Santa Run. It was the first 5K I ran back in
2010 and then I ran it again in
2011. Each time I try to gather together a bunch of friends to join me. It's a fun time. We dress up in Santa suits that are provided as part of the registration fee. Normally we meet at my place so that everyone can get dressed not out in the cold. This year the weather was the warmest that its been when I've ran it. This year they also changed the course because of the construction on the new temple/tabernacle. It felt much shorter and my time was lots better so I'm not sure if it was legitimately a 5K. But I'm going with it.
I got my personal best on this 5K with a time of 26:11 minutes. I placed 3/15 in my division (males 40-44). I was 62/195 among males and 83/537 overall. You can see the full race results

After the run its tradition to go out and eat. This year we went to
Brick Oven in Provo. We got plenty of strange looks. I had shed my Santa pants and was wear tights with my Christmas socks and my new bright running shoes. :)
