Last Friday I joined some friends at the state capitol for a Movie Under the Stars. I had heard of these outdoor movies at the capitol but had never been. The movie I saw as Despicable Me, which I had never seen before. Now if you are seeing a movie for the first time and really want to soak it all in, this might not be the best venue. There was a group of early-college aged kids behind us that talked pretty loudly through the first half of the show. Then there were high school school kids in front of us who thought it was funny to yell out the names of a certain male anatomy every 10 minutes. Despite that, I had a great time. The weather was beautiful and the movie was fun. Oh and they had live music before the show. If you go, make sure you get there early to get a prime spot.
